At the Kavacık Campus, the Central Library serves as two separate libraries across two floors where students can study, read books, and work on projects. The Terrace Library is located on the 4th floor, covering an area of 225 m² with a seating capacity for 60 people. The Unit Library, located on the 1st floor, has a total enclosed area of 50 m² and can accommodate 14 people.
Operating under the principle that “knowledge is the greatest wealth,” our library continues to work on establishing the necessary infrastructure for our university's academic and administrative staff, as well as students, to easily access the information they need. In this context, we are members of various consortia in the field of librarianship, such as ANKOS and TÜBİTAK-ULAKBİM, providing databases within the EKUAL project and continually expanding our collection to serve our users. We will continue to adapt to changing and developing technologies in the future.
To ensure that scientific literature is accessible, discoverable, and copyable via the internet without financial, legal, or technical barriers, the DSpace software has been installed for our library, and an open access system is currently being developed.
We provide lending services to the academic and administrative staff as well as students of our university. Additionally, for academic staff, we offer interlibrary loan (ILL) services to obtain publications from other university libraries. Our library houses over 26,000 printed resources, including:
Our collection includes over 26,000 printed publications, more than 50,000 electronic books, nearly 40,000 electronic journals, around 30,000 conference proceedings, periodicals, maps, DVDs/CDs, and a collection of rare works.
