The Library is located on the Faculty of Business and Administrative Sciences Campus and is open on weekdays between 08:30–19:00. In addition, a study hall is available for our students on the Vocational Schools Campus. The total size of all our study areas is 820 square meters, offering a seating capacity of approximately 300 people. During exam periods and official holidays, library opening hours may vary; therefore, the most up-to-date information regarding opening and closing times can be accessed via the website. Beykoz University Library houses nearly 30,000 printed publications, over 300,000 e-books, more than 50,000 e-journals, nearly 30,000 conference proceedings, periodicals, maps, DVDs/CDs, and a collection of rare works.
Guided by the principle that “The Library is the Heart of the University”, our library continues to develop the necessary infrastructure to ensure that our academic and administrative staff, as well as our students, can easily access the information they need. In this context, our library is a member of ANKOS, the largest consortium in its field in Turkey. Within the scope of EKUAL, as well as through international databases, numerous e-resources are actively accessible to university users. Adapting to advancing technology, the library will continue to provide its services in the coming years.
Open Access
To ensure that scientific literature is accessible, discoverable, and copyable via the internet without financial, legal, or technical barriers, the DSpace software has been installed for our library, and an open access system is currently being developed.
User Services
We provide lending services to the academic and administrative staff as well as students of our university. Additionally, for academic staff, we offer interlibrary loan (ILL) services to obtain publications from other university libraries. Our library houses over 26,000 printed resources, including:
- 25 books for 60 days to the academic personnel,
- 5 books for 30 days to the administrative personnel and students.
Our collection includes over 26,000 printed publications, more than 50,000 electronic books, nearly 40,000 electronic journals, around 30,000 conference proceedings, periodicals, maps, DVDs/CDs, and a collection of rare works.
