Prof. Dr. Baki Aksu

Born in 1958 in the Mesudiye district of Ordu, Prof. Dr. Baki Aksu completed his primary and secondary education in Yeşilyurt and Yeşilce; He completed his high school education in Istanbul Maritime and Fisheries Vocational High School and his bachelor education in Anadolu University in 1988. After graduating from Istanbul University with a master’s degree on “Human Resources Management” in 1992, Aksu received his doctorate in “International Business Administration” at Istanbul University in 1997. He became "assistant professor" in February 2003, "assistant professor" in the field of "Management and Strategy" in March 2013 and "professor" in May 2018.

Aksu, who has given many courses in the field of Business Management, has been a manager at various levels for many years. Between 1989-2003, he worked as the director of the Istanbul University Faculty of Forestry, Forest Products Integrated Facilities, and between 2003-2004 he worked as the Deputy Director of Ordu University Mesudiye Vocational School and between 2004-2008 he worked as the Director of Mesudiye Vocational School. Since 2008, he has worked in Beykoz Logistics Vocational School as program and department head, assistant manager, secretary of school, deputy director. Since 2016, Prof. Dr. Baki Aksu has served as the Director of Beykoz Logistics Vocational School within the body of Beykoz University. Aksu, who left this position as of June 22, 2018, was appointed as the Vice Rector of Beykoz University on the same date.

Aksu, who has more than 50 scientific articles, has successfully worked as a coordinator, assistant coordinator and assistant researcher in 6 national and international projects.

Prof. Dr. Baki Aksu also served as the chairman of the board of directors and memberships of the non-governmental organizations. Board memberships in some institutions still continue.


Prof. Dr. Pınar Seden Meral

Prof. Dr. Pınar Seden Meral completed her master’s and doctoral studies at Marmara University Faculty of Communication. Following her university graduation, she worked as an Italian teacher, translator, and editor in various private educational institutions, translation offices, and publishing organizations.

In 2002, Prof. Dr. Meral participated in the establishment of Kadir Has University Faculty of Communication and served there for many years. In 2009, she started working at Beykoz Vocational School of Logistics as the Head of the Public Relations and Promotion Program. At her institution, Pınar Seden Meral held numerous administrative and academic positions. With the establishment of Beykoz University in 2016, she took on roles including Vice Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Design, Head of the Department of Communication and Design, Member of the University Administrative Board, Member of the University Senate, Member of the Faculty of Arts and Design Administrative Board, Member of the University Ethics Committee, Deputy Director of the Graduate School of Programs, Head of the Department of Communication Design and Semiotics, and Coordinator of Social Contribution.

Her main areas of expertise include brand design, brand management, advertising, and corporate identity. Prof. Dr. Meral also provides certification training in effective communication and body language.

Having published numerous articles and book chapters, Prof. Dr. Pınar Seden Meral continues her academic and administrative duties at Beykoz University.


Prof. Dr. Aylin Ünver Noi

Prof. Dr. Aylin Ünver Noi completed his undergraduate studies in International Relations at Bilkent University and earned his master’s and doctoral degrees in EU Politics and International Relations at Marmara University’s European Union Institute. He received his associate professorship in International Relations and continues his academic career as a full Professor.

Prof. Dr. Noi began his career at DHL Worldwide Express as a Commercial Relations Coordinator and later returned to academia, teaching courses on International Organizations, the European Union’s International Policy, and Turkish Foreign Policy at various universities. He has also held administrative positions such as Department Chair and Director of the Center for European Union Studies.

Currently, Prof. Dr. Noi serves as a Senior Researcher at the Center for Advanced Security, Strategic, and Integration Studies (CASSIS) at the University of Bonn, Germany, and at the Transatlantic Leadership Network (TLN), headquartered in Washington, D.C. Previously, he has held positions as Senior Researcher at the Transatlantic Relations Center (CTR) at Johns Hopkins University (SAIS), Senior Researcher at the SETA Foundation in Istanbul, and as a Board Member of the Mediterranean Citizens Assembly Foundation (FACM) in Valencia.

His research focuses on transatlantic relations, as well as the policies of the European Union and the United States toward the Mediterranean and the Middle East. He has published numerous scholarly articles, books, and book chapters in these fields. His major works include “Rising Nationalism in Europe” (IQ Publishing, 2007), “Islam and Democracy: Perspectives on the Arab Spring” (Cambridge Scholars Publishing, 2013), “The Euro-Mediterranean Partnership and Broader Middle East and North Africa Initiative: Competing or Complementary Projects?” (University Press of America, 2011), “Challenges of Democracy in the European Union and Its Neighbors” (Johns Hopkins University SAIS–CTR, 2016), “Turkey and Transatlantic Relations” (Johns Hopkins University SAIS–CTR, 2017), and “Turkey in the North Atlantic Marketplace” (Johns Hopkins University SAIS–CTR, 2018). His most recent book, “The EU and Turkey in a Changing World: An Assessment through Strategic Documents”, was published by SETA in 2024.

Prof. Dr. Noi has participated in numerous national and international conferences. At the 2026 Munich Security Conference, he served as both speaker and moderator in the closed session titled “Euro-Mediterranean Pivot.”

Additionally, Prof. Dr. Noi has authored opinion pieces for The Huffington Post, The Hill, Anadolu Agency, and Daily Sabah, and regularly provides expert commentary on international relations in print and broadcast media both in Turkey and abroad.
