PROGRAM STRUCTURE

The Master's Program in Human Resources Management with Thesis consists of 4 compulsory and 4 elective courses, including a Seminar course in the first two semesters, followed by 2 semesters of master's thesis study and a total of 4 semesters of education.

When the compulsory courses within the scope of the program are evaluated, the Current Human Resources Management course will enable students to evaluate current and practical applications and the effects of these applications in businesses. In addition, the Labour and Social Security Law course will provide an understanding of how to apply legal regulations in working environments and draw a framework for legal requirements for businesses. Finally, Research Methods and Techniques as well as the Seminar courses will equip students with the skills to effectively gather, analyse and present information in academic and professional settings. 

Meanwhile, elective courses within the program offer students the opportunity to delve deeper into specific topics in the field of Human Resource Management. In this context, Employee Experience Management and Work Psychology courses will help students develop their skills in understanding employee attitudes and behaviours and designing strategies to improve job satisfaction, engagement and performance. Courses such as Human Resource Planning and Selection, Job Analysis and Compensation Management, Performance and Career Management will provide students with expertise in strategic human resource management and the opportunity to develop their ability to effectively manage resources in organizations. In addition, courses such as Occupational Health and Safety, Collective Labour Relations, Globalization and Employment Policies and Social Security Policies will open the door to understanding the risks and hazards in the work environment and social security issues. In addition, courses such as Basic Business Management, Organizational Behaviour, Management and Organization, Budgeting Techniques, Problem Solving and Crisis Management, Leadership and Motivation Techniques, Employer Brand Management and Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management will provide students with the opportunity to gain knowledge and skills in understanding the basic functions of businesses, developing financial management skills, strengthening strategic thinking and crisis management skills, achieving success in leadership and team management, employer brand management and managing business reputation.

The program, which aims to provide in-depth knowledge and skills on issues aimed at providing sustainable competitive advantage on the one hand and protecting employee well-being on the other hand in today's global world, also has a dynamic structure that organizes academic and civil activities such as symposiums, research seminars, workshops with sector actors and non-governmental organizations. Thus, it enables students to follow the developments in the sector and interact with them, enabling them to participate in the sector in a more prepared and equipped manner.

According to the Higher Education Regulations issued by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK), students in formal education programs are required to attend 70% of the courses.

Program students complete their Master's Thesis studies under the supervision of their advisors in the 3rd and 4th semesters. In this way, students gain an important experience and academic career opportunity for the realization of scientific research, analysis and writing stages. In the thesis program, students write their thesis under the leadership of the thesis advisor in the relevant semester and complete all the necessary academic stages and defend their thesis in front of the thesis jury to be determined.

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

Students graduating from the program will be equipped with a broad set of Human Resources Management knowledge and skills and will have a variety of career opportunities. They will be able to work as Human Resources Specialists in businesses and gain expertise in managing basic Human Resources Management functions such as personnel selection, performance management, training and development, compensation and reward systems. They will also be able to work in human resources consulting firms or human resources departments in areas such as strategic planning, policy formulation and implementation, organizational development and change management.

Graduates will also be able to work in law firms or legal departments of businesses thanks to their knowledge of legal regulations and business law affecting human resource management. Graduates will also have the potential to work as researchers, strategists or policy makers in private or public sector organizations focusing on human resource analysis, workforce planning and employer brand management. Those who specialize in business ethics and social responsibility will be able to pursue careers in areas such as corporate social responsibility consulting, sustainability management or corporate communications. Finally, the general business knowledge and management skills provided by the program will enable the graduates to enjoy the opportunity to work successfully in a broad range of business fields such as management consulting, business development, project management or entrepreneurship.

APPLICATION CONDITIONS AND EVALUATION

Applications are made by filling out the online application form of the Institute of Graduate Programs.  There is no field requirement for undergraduate graduation as far as applications to the Human Resources Management Master's Program is concerned.

•      Undergraduate Diploma or Graduation Certificate (Graduation Certificate obtained through e-Government is valid.)
•      Undergraduate Transcript (Transcript Certificate obtained through e-Government is valid.)
•     Curriculum Vitae (CV)
•     ALES Result (At least 55 points from EA score type is required)
•     Military Service Certificate (Only required from male candidates)

The Master's Program in Human Resources Management with Thesis is not only offered as an up-to-date education program for professional business life, but also provides opportunities for those who complete the master's program with thesis to pursue an academic career. Students who complete the master's program with thesis can continue their education at the doctoral level if they wish.

PROGRAM DURATION

The duration of the Human Resources Management Master's Program with Thesis is at least 4 semesters and this period is completed in a maximum of 6 semesters. The language of instruction is Turkish. 

COURSE LOCATIONS, DAYS AND HOURS

Classes are held at Beykoz University Kavacık Campus between 19:00-21:45 on  weekdays  and 10:00-16:00 on Saturdays.
