Welcome to the International Trade and Finance (English) Program!
Our program is designed for students who wish to pursue careers in companies engaged in export and import activities, as well as in finance, banking, multinational corporations, foreign trade departments of banks, customs brokerage firms, logistics companies, EU delegations in Turkey, the Ministry of Trade, and all other public institutions. We aim to equip our students with a strong academic foundation, a global vision, and the practical skills necessary for success in the world of international trade and finance.
Mission
The mission of the International Trade and Finance (English) Program is to educate individuals who are ethical, capable of thinking from a global perspective, have strong analytical skills, and can integrate technological developments into decision-making processes. Our goal is to nurture professionals and researchers who can critically assess global economic issues and develop innovative financial and commercial strategies.

Our vision is to become an internationally recognized academic program that blends a liberal and innovative education approach with practical applications, and produces individuals who can confidently respond to the evolving needs of global trade and financial markets.
Scope of the International Trade and Finance (English) Program
Our curriculum covers the fundamental areas of international trade, economics, and finance, offering practice-oriented content enriched with interdisciplinary skills. Below are some key areas and example course topics:
The International Trade and Finance (English) Program focuses on five core subfields:
Covers topics such as international trade theories, trade policies, regional trade agreements, and foreign trade legislation.
Includes areas such as global financial markets, exchange rate systems, international capital flows, and financial strategies of multinational corporations.
Aims to analyze micro and macroeconomics, development economics, monetary and fiscal policies, and the structure of the global economic order.
Provides practical knowledge and skills related to the business world, including strategic management, financial management, entrepreneurship, logistics, and supply chain management.
Focuses on topics such as supply chain management, international logistics strategies, transportation and distribution systems, inventory management, and logistics technologies. This area plays a fundamental role in understanding the physical functioning of global trade.
Additionally, our program offers an interdisciplinary learning experience by allowing students to take elective courses from other departments according to their interests.

Program Educational Objectives
The Program Educational Objectives describe the goals that graduates are expected to achieve in their professional and/or academic careers a few years after graduation. The objectives defined for this program are as follows:
To acquire the necessary knowledge in key areas of international trade such as foreign trade, logistics, economics, finance, business, marketing, sales management, purchasing, and quantitative methods.
To possess the required knowledge not only in the core subjects of international trade but also in leadership, behavioral sciences, communication, and entrepreneurship, as well as in supporting courses such as mathematics, statistics, law, operations research, computer science, and management information systems.
To be able to utilize contemporary information technologies and tools in professional life, and to develop qualities such as a desire for continuous learning, openness to innovation, and adaptability to change.
To develop skills in analytical thinking, organizational problem-solving, time management, self-discipline, and communication.
To enhance the ability to solve problems and make decisions with an awareness of ethical values and social responsibilities.
To attain sufficient English language proficiency to benefit from English-language resources in the field of international trade and to communicate and engage effectively with international colleagues.
Our Graduates
Our program has been graduating students since the 2022–2023 academic year. Through the Career Planning course offered in the first year, Career Days that bring together representatives from various sectors and our alumni with students, and the activities of the Career Center, our university supports students in planning their career paths.
Practical Training Process
Our students have the opportunity to put the theoretical knowledge they acquire throughout their education into practice during the Workplace Practice Training course in their final year. A significant number of our graduates receive job offers from the institutions where they complete this training, and all of them report that this experience has positively contributed to both their personal development and their job search process.
English Language Instruction
The language of instruction in our program is English. Students who do not meet the English language proficiency requirements attend a one-year English Preparatory Program before starting the main curriculum. After completing the preparatory education—delivered by a team of experienced and specialized instructors—students take all courses in English and gain a comprehensive understanding of both the theoretical and practical aspects of International Trade and Finance.
Second Foreign Language Opportunities
For students who wish to learn a foreign language in addition to English, elective courses in various other languages are offered.

Double Major and Minor Opportunities
Within the framework of bilateral agreements, our students have the opportunity to pursue double major and minor programs in different departments of the university.
Research Opportunities
Students who are interested in academic research can participate in research projects conducted by faculty members, either voluntarily or on a paid basis. They can also apply for TÜBİTAK (The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye) funding under the supervision of their instructors.
Student Clubs
Our university hosts dozens of student clubs. The International Trade Club, founded by students of our program, offers opportunities for socialization, taking initiative, and expressing creativity.
Events
Through conferences, seminars, panels, industry meetups, technical visits, and branded courses organized by our program, students are provided with opportunities to gain insights and career prospects in areas such as business, entrepreneurship, management, start-ups, trade, finance, and career planning. In addition, advisory board meetings that include representatives from academia, the industry, and our alumni help ensure the program remains up-to-date and dynamic.

WHO CAN APPLY?
Those who have received a bachelor's degree from a department of any 4-year higher education institution can apply to the program. In order to apply, the bachelor's degree does not have to be in a particular branch.
PROGRAM DURATION
The duration of the Master's Program without Thesis is at least 2 semesters and is completed in maximum 3 semesters. The Master's Program with Thesis is at least 4 semesters and is completed in maximum 6 semesters. In case of absence due to valid reasons, a maximum of 2 terms of registration may be frozen.
PROGRAM STRUCTURE
International Trade and Logistics Without Thesis Master Program consists of 10 courses and a Master's Term Project. International Trade and Logistics Master Program with Thesis consists of 7 courses, 1 seminar course and Master Thesis.
Courses consist of compulsory courses and elective courses.
In the Master's program Without Thesis, the student prepares a term project under the supervision of the term project advisor and presents it to the advisor. In the program with thesis, the student prepares his thesis under the supervision of the thesis supervisor and completes the necessary steps and defends his thesis in front of a jury to be determined.
The language of instruction is Turkish.

CLASSES PLACE, DAYS AND HOURS
The classes are held at the Kavacık Campus, on weekdays at 19.00 - 21.45; and between 10.00 and 16.00 on Saturdays. Graduate course programs with thesis are organized for the students who work on weekdays.
With the agreements that can be made between our university and institutions, a special program can be created only for the employees of the relevant institution that meet the above-mentioned admission requirements. In this case, the courses can be held in a place determined by the institution partially or completely.

ACADEMIC STAFF
International Trade and Logistics Graduate Master's Program is carried out with a strong academic staff under the leadership of Asst. Prof. Neslihan Balcı Varol. The academic staff consists of young academicians who are well versed in current research topics in the field and experienced academicians who stand out in their fields.
